Saving and removing information

The qualification check uses your résumé, job posting, role, and company with OpenAI when you confirm and choose Check qualifications. It compares the information you provided; it does not verify credentials or determine hiring eligibility. The check and your responses save with this job. Qualifications you choose to add become part of your résumé source and future drafts. Application-question guidance uses the question, your notes, starting résumé, and job posting with OpenAI when you choose Help me understand this question. It explains the question and suggests prompts; it does not write or select your answer. Guidance and answers you write save with the application. Previously saved answers remain available. Personal-review email requests are separate: your email app opens with the role, company, and question count. You decide whether to send it or attach a review packet.

PDF and Word downloads are created in your browser. The document preview shows the same PDF that downloads. Downloaded documents are not deleted by clearing the workspace.

Signed-in applications save automatically to your account as you work. Save progress saves immediately. My applications lists your saved jobs and lets you delete an application and its saved content. Database access is restricted to the account that owns the application; the owner dashboard does not list other users’ résumé contents. Applications remain until you delete them or the account is removed.

The signed-in workspace keeps unsaved recovery data in this tab’s session storage for up to one hour. Successful saves remove the temporary recovery copy. Signing out clears recovery storage; unsaved work can remain in a locked open tab until you sign back in with the same account. Keep that tab open if a save fails. Browser session restore may preserve tab storage, so sign out on shared devices. Existing recovery copies for your account are migrated out of permanent browser storage when you open the updated workspace. Older browser-only workspaces move to your account only when you choose Save progress.

In My applications, Delete removes that saved application from your account. An older open tab cannot silently recreate or overwrite a deleted account record. Close other tabs that may still hold local copies. The public demo’s Clear all my data control applies only to its browser copies. Files you downloaded must be deleted separately.

When information is processed

Paste the job description into your application. The site does not fetch job postings from links.

The website is hosted through Sites. Hosting and sign-in providers may process connection and access information needed to serve the site. Public pages and the free career demo are available without an account.

Drafting and tailored interview questions use OpenAI. These features run only when you confirm your details and choose to create or revise them.

Provider safety and retention policies apply. Application content is excluded from analytics. Returned drafts and question sets are saved with your account application. Saving, spacing cleanup, downloads, and the public demo do not generate new drafts or questions.

Class interest list

If you submit the interest form, we store your email, selected class, preferred time, and consent timestamp in Supabase. Felix can view these requests privately and contact you about your chosen class. This does not create an account, reserve a seat, or take payment. Email skillandstride@gmail.com to request removal. Automated class announcements are not enabled yet.

Your account

Accounts are currently available by invitation; public registration is not open yet. Supabase handles email verification, password sign-in, and account recovery, and stores your email and class registration records. New browsers require an email code before access. Sign-in emails are sent through Google’s Gmail service. Once owner access is verified and assigned, Felix can review registrations as the site owner. The signed-in career workspace saves applications to your account as described above.

The portal uses secure, HttpOnly cookies for sign-in. Short-lived sessions renew for up to 12 hours, or up to 30 days when you select “Keep me signed in.” A separate activity cookie protects unattended workspaces: after 60 minutes without activity, you must sign in again. A two-minute warning lets you keep working, and the workspace attempts to save your progress before sign-out. This timeout also applies when “Remember me” is selected. A browser-verification cookie lasts up to 90 days and does not grant access without sign-in. Normal sign-out removes your session but keeps browser verification until it expires; your password is still required to sign in again. Choose “Sign out and forget this browser” on shared devices to remove verification too and require a new email code next time. Browser session restore can preserve cookies after closing the browser. Sign-in credentials are kept out of browser storage; application recovery copies are described above. Do not use “Remember me” on a shared device. For account deletion or corrections, email skillandstride@gmail.com.

Optional application reminders

Email reminders are off unless you choose them for a saved application. Your selections and reminder times are stored with your account. Messages go to your verified account email and contain a link back to your application, not your résumé, cover letter, employer name, or notes. These reminders do not report employer activity.

Use Email reminders in the workspace or My applications to change your choices or turn them off. Deleting the application removes its reminders and delivery records. A message already handed to the email provider cannot be recalled. When delivery is active, attempt records are retained for up to 30 days to help prevent duplicates; the email provider handles the message under its own policies.

Success stories and feedback

After accepting an offer, you can send Felix a story about your experience, an optional name, and private improvement suggestions. Drafts stay in your saved application until you choose Send feedback. Submitted feedback is stored in Supabase and visible to you and the site owner. A new submission sends Felix an email notification through Gmail with a link to the owner inbox; it does not include your feedback text or name. Delivery status is recorded to prevent duplicate notifications; your résumé and interview notes are not included. Stories are private by default. A separate optional checkbox allows Felix to use your story and chosen name as a testimonial on Skill & Stride. Improvement suggestions are always private, and nothing publishes automatically.

You can update permission or withdraw feedback in Start your new job. Deleting the saved application also deletes its feedback from the inbox. For removal of a testimonial already published, or help after changing your application outcome, contact skillandstride@gmail.com.

Review your results

Generated drafts and questions can contain mistakes. Check names, dates, qualifications, and every claim against your experience. Interview practice offers general or tailored questions. When you choose Get feedback on my answer in the full workspace, OpenAI processes your practice answer, the current question, role, and job description to suggest improvements and a follow-up. Your written answers save with the application; AI feedback is displayed for the current practice session. Feedback can be mistaken and does not verify your claims or predict an employer’s decision. The public demo uses a structure checklist. The tool does not guarantee interviews or hiring outcomes. Removing contact details does not guarantee that the remaining text cannot identify someone.

Career outcome reporting

When you save an application outcome, it is stored with that application. The owner can see aggregate counts of submitted applications and reported outcomes, including accepted offers and the number of accounts reporting an accepted offer. This report does not expose your résumé, notes, employer, or identity. Owner and configured test accounts are excluded. Correcting your outcome or deleting an application changes the current counts. These results are member-reported and do not verify employment or prove that the site caused an offer.

Website analytics

We measure page views, approximate browser sessions, broad referral sources, class-link clicks and visits from our campus flyer. We do not include full URLs, search terms, IP addresses, résumé content or form contents in these analytics records. A temporary identifier in your tab’s session storage groups visits; the stored identifier changes each day. Owner and sandbox pages are excluded.

Signed-in portal activity and completed sign-ins are associated with your account for owner reporting. We also record the route and status of portal errors, without passwords, codes or request contents. Event records older than 90 days are removed when new activity is recorded. Account, registration and payment records are kept separately.

Optional visit tracking respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. You can also turn it off for this browser; this does not disable account security or transaction records.
